Jaddu is the best indian fielder. He gets his overs fast, picks wicket at crucial intervals, handy lower order batsman. He won't do well most times because he plays back end of the innings. Also, his presence will give more confidence to other batsmen to take more risks (dube or sky or pandya).
If at all I have to move Virat to nbr.3 I will make Pant open with Rohit than going for Jaiswal. Actually it will put huge pressure on Jaiswal as well to perform big right from ball one when you are replacing him in Virat's spot.
Pant is now literally opening with Virat getting out in the first over itself, so nothing big is required for Pant to adjust to open the innings. Also I will get Kuldeep in place of Dube for WI leg of games.

Hi Bathri, Still you are supporting Dube. But notice my words. If Dube, Jadeja continues in playing 11, Surely IND never reach Semi finals. Dube bowling not well, Sloppy fielder, In Dube batting there is no technique. He can't able to rotate the strike frequently. Only one type of shot never win you the match. Quality bowling side use Dube type of player to contain the overs. It makes other batsman to put under pressure. Mark my words Bathri.
In CSK vs RCB that knockout match, See how RCB use Dube to control middle overs and make required run rate high. If he can't able to hit six, he has to rotate one and two and wait for loose balls. Dube don't have those skills and techniques. He only well against 120-130 KMP bowlers with full toss, slot balls and part time bowlers.

See none of the batsmen scored runs in New York..Its not acceptable to evaluate a player in one pitch...If India played matches in different pitches, then I agree...None of the teams played convincingly at New York...Lets wait and see how players are performing in different conditions...Even Jaiswal did not have great IPL season..even he played well in tests and IPL he was not able to adapt to T20 after playing a test series...Its too soon for Jaiswal to open in world cups...example even gill was not playing convincingly in last year 50 over world cup beside he had a great year 2023...Its a different pressure for youngsters when it comes to World cup

Swapping a player's spot in the batting order is not a proper solution to gain form that too for a player of Virat's caliber. Instead, Virat should take time to analyze where he went wrong in all 3 games so far and make adjustments accordingly or even can sit with coach to do this. Because Virat is too good a player to go through a lean patch for long. In the hindsight, even Rohit is not scoring big enough which is unnoticed as he hardly gets past the powerplay, He hits one or two sixes then getting out to a not so good deliveries!!
What if Jaiswal score couple of ducks in place of Virat, will you play those in the Reserves like Gill in place of Jaiswal that would be the stupidity of highest order and worst possible approach.
Most important thing to do for Ind openers in the coming games should look to rotate strike and get to the other end to keep the legs moving and score board ticking, Its the dot balls in T20 which creates undue pressure even in the minds of best in the business like Virat.

Yeah, I agree NY pitches are not conducive to batting but the batter's approach was not good enough to combat. When the total of 120 is decent enough to defend, why cant the batters score them in singles and twos in 20 overs then getting an occasional 4s instead they were too ambitious playing reckless shots and perished for no reason just citing poor pitch conditions. In the process getting below par scores and expecting bowlers to create miracles all the time
